Manage Claude Code skills and MCP servers from your Mac menu bar

Wasdy is a free macOS menu bar utility for managing Claude Code skills and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. Instead of manually editing Claude Code configuration files, developers can switch skills on or off, find new skills, and connect external tools from a small Mac interface.

Manage Claude Code skills

  • Toggle installed skills from the menu bar, including skills stored under ~/.claude.
  • Open the Skill Shelf from any app with ⌘⇧K, then navigate with the arrow keys, Return, and Escape.
  • Find and install skills through a searchable marketplace, with installation into the appropriate folder.
  • Browse available skills and bundles to find configurations relevant to a project.

Connect MCP servers

Wasdy provides controls for adding MCP servers, entering required keys, checking connection health, and enabling or removing integrations. MCP lets AI coding assistants access compatible external tools and services.

Compatibility and considerations

Wasdy complements Claude Code; it does not replace Claude with a standalone AI assistant. Skills and MCP integrations may involve third-party code or access to external services, so their sources and requested permissions deserve review before use.

The developer lists Wasdy as free for macOS 15 or later, with support for both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Wasdy itself does not require an account or sign-in.
