DynamicHorizon is a native macOS utility that turns the space around a MacBook’s camera notch into an interactive, Dynamic Island–style hub. It surfaces media playback, alerts and small tools at the top of the screen. On notch-free Macs and external monitors, the interface appears as a floating island instead.
Media, alerts and quick tools
- Control Apple Music, Spotify and other system Now Playing sources with album artwork, playback controls and progress-bar seeking.
- See download progress, battery and connected-device activity, brightness and volume changes, Caps Lock status, camera/microphone use and screen recording.
- Hover to expand the island for timers, Calendar events and quick event creation, weather, session-only clipboard history, and AirDrop file sharing.
- View compact notifications and customize module behavior and appearance, including optional Liquid Glass styling.
Lock Screen and personalization
The Lock Screen can display music artwork, playback controls, synchronized lyrics, weather and custom widgets. Settings offer module-specific adjustments, and the interface accommodates different display setups.
Requirements and licensing
DynamicHorizon requires macOS 14.6 or later and supports Apple silicon and Intel Macs. It is supplied as a signed, notarized DMG through the official website rather than the Mac App Store. The $11.99 lifetime license is a one-time purchase for one active Mac at a time; moving it to another Mac requires a license reset through support. Included updates cover the current major version, rather than all future major releases. The developer offers a 14-day refund window and says it collects license and device identifiers for activation, but not in-app usage telemetry.
