Tray

Browse Claude Code projects, sessions, skills, and settings on your Mac.

Tray is a free macOS app for exploring the files and configuration that Claude Code stores on your Mac. It brings projects, conversation sessions, memory, skills, and integrations into one searchable interface, so you can inspect your setup without navigating through configuration folders by hand.

Explore projects and session history

  • Browse projects and their conversation sessions, identified by session name or first prompt.
  • Read memory files across projects, alongside CLAUDE.md instructions and project rules.
  • Search across the whole setup or within a particular list. An overview shows recent changes, and the app updates its views as Claude Code changes files.

Review skills, agents, and integrations

  • Inspect installed skills and their instructions, including skills supplied by projects and plugins.
  • Browse subagents, MCP (Model Context Protocol) server configurations, hook bindings, scripts, and active plugins.
  • Preview Markdown, code, and configuration content with formatted text and syntax highlighting. Tray hides tokens and passwords when showing MCP server settings.

Local, read-only access

Tray reads local Claude Code files but does not edit them. To make changes, it opens files in an external editor. Parcse says file contents stay on the device, Tray does not send usage telemetry, and no account is needed. There are no paid features or trial restrictions.

Tray requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later and is most useful to people who already use Claude Code and have local projects or settings to inspect.
